Third Generation Family Owned Metal Recycling in Phoenix AZ
Davis Metals (Formerly Davis Salvage) in Phoenix AZ was established in 1953, with partners Sam ‘Toddy’ Tamaroff and David Kalish first opened the doors to what they called the “useable metal business.” Today, the business is run by Toddy’s grandsons AJ and Shane with their father David, establishing three generations of ownership, personal customer care, and community involvement.
As Phoenix natives, Shane and AJ attended area schools, played for local football, basketball and baseball teams. They worked in the scrapyard on the side since the age of five alongside their father, grandfather, and longtime employee Sebio (who still works at Davis Metals today).
AJ later attended Arizona State University, graduating with a business management degree. He took over the business after Toddy’s stroke, and runs it to this day. AJ & Shane run the business side of things while their father David works the front office. Today, they are proud to continue the family tradition of providing the Valley of the Sun with a combination of personable customer care and unique goods and services in the recycling and steel industry.
